Soyia Ellison has extensive experience in communications and storytelling across various sectors. From September 2014 to February 2023, Soyia served as the Director of Storytelling at The Carter Center, overseeing print, digital, and video content that highlighted the organization's impact. Prior to this role, Soyia was the Associate Director of Communications, focusing on media relations for peace programs. Soyia also contributed to education as an Adjunct Instructor at Kennesaw State University from August 2012 to December 2021, teaching courses in communication and public relations. At Habitat for Humanity International, Soyia held dual roles as Associate Director of Development Communications and Associate Director of Copywriting Services, managing a team of writers and producing content for the organization. Previous positions include Public and Media Relations Director at South Coast Repertory and Graduate Student at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Soyia holds a Master's in Theatre Administration from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
