Neighborhood Advisory Çouncil at The Center for Arts at the Armory

Robert Smyth has extensive experience in the arts and literature sectors, highlighted by their current roles as a member of the Neighborhood Advisory Council at The Center for Arts at the Armory since 2008, and as a staff member at Porter Sq. Books since 2007. As the owner of Robert Smyth Design & Production since 1980, Robert specializes in graphic design and production for books, audio CDs, and promotional materials. In addition, as President of Yellow Moon Press, established in September 1978, Robert focuses on publishing materials related to the oral tradition. Previously, from 2000 to 2008, Robert contributed to the National Storytelling Network by organizing and managing a conference bookstore. Robert Smyth holds a BA in English from Denison University and a high school diploma from Tabor Academy.

The Center for Arts at the Armory

Arts at the Armory seeks to galvanize the creative spirit by providing a space where working artists and the community can come together. Recognizing that art can bridge cultural, class and generational divides, Arts at the Armory showcases a wide range of visual arts, dance, theater and musical performances. It also provides studio spaces for artists, a cafe, galleries, two live/work artists units, two performance spaces, and offices for arts organizations.
