Sharon Bayliss

Sharon Bayliss has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Sharon worked as the Director of Strategy and Compliance at the Center for Child Protection from March 2019 to present. Prior to that, they held the role of Grants Manager at the same organization from July 2015 to March 2019.

In addition to their work at the Center for Child Protection, Sharon has also worked at Curiosity Quills Press as an Author and Social Media and Online Promotion Coordinator from May 2012 to March 2019. Sharon published several works and received awards for their books during this time. Sharon also managed social media platforms, curated blog content, and coordinated online promotions for new releases.

Before their time at Curiosity Quills Press, Sharon worked at Alere Wellbeing as a Quit Coach from December 2009 to April 2015. Sharon had special training in interventions for youth and pregnant participants and was responsible for moderating discussion forums and providing written communication support.

Prior to that, Sharon worked at the American Cancer Society in various roles from August 2005 to December 2009. Sharon served as a Quitline Counseling Delivery Manager, Quitline Counseling Team Supervisor, Quitline Counselor, and Cancer Information Specialist during their tenure.

Earlier in their career, Sharon worked as an MSW Intern/Legislative Aide to Rep as part of Eddie Rodriguez's team and as a BSW Intern at Communities in Schools, Burnet Middle School.

Sharon Bayliss attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2005, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. During the same period, they also pursued a Master of Science degree in Social Work with a focus on Community and Administrative Leadership.
