Vanessa Barahona

Vanessa Barahona, LCSW, is an experienced clinical social worker currently serving as the Director of Clinical Services at the Center for Child Protection since August 2015. In this role, Vanessa provides individual, group, and family therapy for children and families, develops treatment plans, and offers crisis counseling. Vanessa also has experience presenting on trauma-informed care and creating assessments using the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. Previous positions include roles as an Integrative Behavioral Health Social Work Intern at Seton Healthcare Family, Patient Resource Specialist at the American Cancer Society, and Social Work Intern at Mujeres Unidas en Salud y Desarollo. Vanessa holds a Master's Degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin.
