Barrie Zipkin is an experienced publishing professional with a robust background in content guidance and editorial roles. Currently serving as Lead Publishing Review Specialist and Content Equity, Inclusion & Diversity Guidance Coordinator at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt since May 2018, Barrie also holds the title of Reader-at-Large at The Center for Fiction since 2013. Previous positions include Managing Editor at Macmillan Education and Klutz, Digital Production Editor at Scholastic, and various editorial roles at Shape Magazine, Competitor Publishing, Decor & Style Magazine, BQE Magazine, and Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency. Barrie possesses a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Florida State University, a BA in English Literature from Northeastern University, and additional teaching qualifications from St. Giles International and The University of Auckland.
