Sayu Bhojwani

Board Member at The Center for Fiction

Sayu Bhojwani, PhD, is a prominent figure in the field of political science and education, currently serving as a Board Member at The Center for Fiction and a Fellow at Open Society Foundations since October 2023. Bhojwani has been actively engaged with North Star Fund as Board Member and Chair since January 2020. Additionally, Bhojwani is the Leader in Residence at The Moynihan Center at CCNY, holding the position from September 2023 to May 2024. As the Founder of Women’s Democracy Lab, Bhojwani aims to reimagine leadership and empower Indigenous women and women of color in politics. Formerly, Bhojwani founded New American Leaders and served as a Visiting Scholar at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Education includes a PhD in Political Science and Government from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as an M.Ed. in Comparative Education from the same institution and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Miami.
