Mary Rose Brown

Mary Rose Brown has served on the Board of Directors for The Center for Health Care Services since 2008. She was nominated by the University Health System Board of Managers.

Brown received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Texas State University. She currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for NuStar Energy, L.P., where she oversees the company’s corporate communications, human resources, corporate services and aviation departments. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for Valero Energy Corporation and also as Vice President of Public Relations for The Atkins Agency.

Brown currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Texas Business Hall of Fame, and the San Antonio Parks Foundation. She also sits on the advisory Board of Directors for Haven for Hope of Bexar County. She previously served as a trustee of Our Lady of the Lake University and as a member of the Marketing Advisory Committee for the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. She is the past president of the San Antonio chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and a long standing member of Texas Public Relations Association (TPRA).
