William MacAskill

William MacAskill has an extensive work experience. William started their career as a DPhil student at the University of Oxford in 2008 and completed it in 2013. In 2009, they co-founded Giving What We Can, and in 2011, they co-founded both The Centre for Effective Altruism and 80,000 Hours. In 2015, they became an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford. In 2018, they joined the Global Priorities Institute at Oxford University as a Senior Research Fellow.

William MacAskill pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the University of Cambridge from 2005 to 2008. William then continued their education at the University of Oxford, completing a Bachelor of Philosophy in Philosophy from 2008 to 2010.
