Steve Coates

Steve Coates is a retired professional with extensive experience in product development and project management, spanning over two decades at Chamberlain Group (CGI) from September 2004 until retirement in February 2022. During tenure, Steve held several key positions, including Director of New Product Development and Optimization, where responsibilities included leading the Sourcing NPD team and enhancing decision-making for product development. Additional roles included Business Project Manager, Transformation Officer, and Senior Manager of the Project Management Organization, showcasing expertise in process compliance, training development, and product launch initiatives, including a notable collaboration with Amazon for the In-Garage Delivery program. Earlier career experience includes project management positions at Life Fitness and Brunswick Corporation. Steve holds an MBA from DePaul Driehaus College of Business and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
