Brian Yeager

The Champion Companies owns and manages 5,000 Class A apartments throughout the growing suburbs of Central Ohio in addition to significant ownership stakes in several leading Central Ohio businesses. As President and CEO of The Champion Companies, Brian Yeager is responsible for establishing the firm’s vision, leading its growth and maintaining its competitive and strategic advantage in the marketplace.

Brian’s primary responsibilities include leading all acquisitions, developments and dispositions as well as guiding private equity investments. Since 2010, Brian has led Champion in closing $3 billion of multifamily transactions involving more than 20,000 multifamily units and over $400 million of equity investments.

Brian has a true passion for people and loves collaborating at Champion with the finest team in the real estate industry. Champion has been named a Best Place to Work in Central Ohio for six straight years, including #1 in both 2018 and 2019. Champion has also grown rapidly and earned the designation as a top fifty fastest-growing private company in Central Ohio for eight consecutive years (2012-2019). This growth has allowed the company to embrace the wider community through service and philanthropy, which are two leading drivers of Champion’s culture.

Brian has also been recognized on the Columbus Business First Power 100 list of influential executives in 2020, 2021, and 2022. He’s a 40 Under 40 Award recipient, and in 2018, Brian was presented with an Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young for the East Central Region. Additionally, Brian has been a member of the YPO Columbus Chapter since 2013.

Prior to founding Champion, Brian served in the Ohio Army National Guard from 1999-2007 and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, where he currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Real Estate.
