Janet Russell

Janet Russell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Janet has held various positions at The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, including President, Immediate Past President, Chartered Fellow, and Vice President. Janet has also served as the Chair of YES Energy Solutions, where they focused on reducing CO2 emissions and alleviating fuel poverty. Janet has contributed to the Safer Tourism Foundation as a Member of the Board of Trustees, aiming to ensure the safety and well-being of travelers abroad. Janet has worked as an associate at the Office for Product Safety and Standards and owned and directed janetrussell.co.uk. Janet also served as the Principal Consultant for covid containment at DHSC. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Director at Kirklees Council, where they managed various services and was accountable for corporate management. Janet has also been a Member of the Better Regulation Task Force.

Janet Russell has a diploma in Management Studies from The University of Huddersfield. Janet also holds a post-graduate diploma in Health and Safety from Trent Polytechnic. Janet has a background in Environmental Health from Leeds Polytechnic.
