Aimee Canlas has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Aimee started their career as the Director of Operations at The Connecting Link, where they focused on improving operational procedures and supporting company growth. Aimee then transitioned to the role of Community Relations Project Manager at Catholic Healthcare West, where they managed projects and coordinated media relations. Aimee then worked as a Senior Manager in Media Relations at J.D. Power and Associates, where they handled press releases for domestic and international offices. Currently, they are part of The Cheesecake Factory, holding the role of Associate Director in HR Communications, where they plan and executes cultural communications for the company's 40,000 employees.
Aimee Canlas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1991 to 1994. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Human Relations degree in Inclusive Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, starting in 2021 and expected to end in 2022. In addition to their academic qualifications, Aimee also holds certifications in HR Management and Analytics from Wharton Executive Education (obtained in 2020), the TLC Leaders Program Certificate of Completion from The Leadership Consortium (obtained in 2020), and Diversity and Inclusion in HR Certificate from Cornell University ILR School (obtained in 2019).
