Alex Poon

Alexander Poon currently serves as Associate General Counsel at TCG since February 2023, having previously held similar roles at Marlin Equity Partners from January 2018 to February 2023, where responsibilities included legal support for global M&A efforts and portfolio companies. Prior to that, Alexander worked as an Associate in the Private Equity/M&A practice group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from 2016 to 2018 and in the Private Equity and Venture Capital practice groups at Goodwin Procter LLP from 2015 to 2016, where an earlier position as a Summer Associate was also held. Alexander gained valuable experience as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Marianne B. Bowler at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 2013. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree, cum laude, from Cornell Law School (2012-2015) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis (2008-2012).
