The Chicago Maroon
Jordyn Flaherty is a legal intern at the Policing Project at NYU Law since June 2024, enriching legal expertise through various roles. Currently serving as President of the University of Chicago RoadRunners Club, Flaherty previously held the position of Crime Lab Research Intern at University of Chicago Urban Labs from June 2023 to March 2024. Additionally, Flaherty contributed to the Undergraduate Student Government as Vice-Chair and Class Representative from October 2021 to June 2023. Experience includes an internship at the University of Chicago Office of Federal Relations in the summer of 2022, a legislative internship with the U.S. House of Representatives in the summer of 2021, and creative work as a resident playwright with Philadelphia Young Playwrights until June 2021. Flaherty also interned for Chris Coons for Delaware in 2020 and worked as a summer camp counselor at the Delaware Art Museum in July 2019. Education includes pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Law, Letters, and Society with minors in Quantitative Social Analysis and Spanish at the University of Chicago from 2021 to 2025, following graduation from The Charter School of Wilmington in 2021.

The Chicago Maroon
The Chicago Maroon, the independent student newspaper of The University of Chicago, is a twice-weekly publication that traces its founding to 1892. During autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the academic year, The Maroon publishes every Tuesday and Friday. The paper consists of four sections: News, Viewpoints (opinion), Arts, and Sports. The Maroon prints its quarterly news magazine, Grey City, before every reading period. In the late summer, it publishes its annual orientation Issue (O-Issue) for entering first-year students, including sections on the university and the city of Chicago.
