Child Abuse Prevention Center
Marissa Provost is an Evaluation Project Specialist at the Child Abuse Prevention Center, a position held since July 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant with Jennie Kaufman Singer, PhD in 2018, a Data Analyst at the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center from February 2017 to July 2018, and serving as Public Policy Director and Public Policy Assistant at the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation between March 2015 and November 2016. Earlier roles also include Records Clerk and Receptionist at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP from July 2014 to March 2015. Marissa holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University-Sacramento (2016-2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the same institution (2012-2014), with prior studies at Diablo Valley College (2008-2011).

The Child Abuse Prevention Center's mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect. Our vision is that all children grow up safe and healthy in nurturing families and communities. The CAP Center is a national and international training, education, research and resource center dedicated to protecting children and building healthy families. We accomplish our mission by ~ Implementing evidence-based practices and programs ~ Collaborating with multi-disciplinary partners ~ Providing training and technical assistance to build capacity ~ Advocating for policies to strengthen children and families and communities Our good work is making a difference in the lives of children and families.
