Tara MacDougall is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal sector. Currently serving as Legal Counsel at The Children's Aid Society of Ottawa since August 2017, Tara previously held a similar position at the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, where responsibilities included providing legal opinions and supporting corporate governance. Tara's background also includes working as a Per Diem Assistant Crown Attorney at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, where representation in bail hearings and criminal trials was integral. Earlier experiences include articling at two Crown Attorney’s Offices, conducting legal research, and assisting in criminal cases. Tara began legal education at the University of Ottawa, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.), and has also completed exchange programs at the University of the West Indies and The Australian National University, as well as obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University.
