Jeff Durfee Jr.

Jeff Durfee Jr. serves as the Department Administrator of the Dept of Surgery at Children's Mercy Kansas City since October 2017, managing practice operations across various surgical specialties and overseeing a budget of $20 million in revenue and $10 million in expenses. Prior to this role, Durfee worked at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as a Professional Services Manager, where leadership strategy and operational analytics were key focuses, contributing to an $18 million facility capital plan. Additional experience includes serving as an Administrative Fellow with responsibilities in project management for a Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic and various roles in healthcare settings focused on operational improvement and patient experience. Durfee holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and an MBA from Saint Louis University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
