Sham Mai-Har

Sham Mai-Har is the Pro-Vice Chancellor & Vice-President at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Vice-President (Research) at The University of Hong Kong from January 2001 to December 2020. Sham has been instrumental in promoting research and academic excellence at both institutions.

Sham Mai-Har earned their Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. Sham also holds a Master of Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the same institution.

Sham Mai-Har reports to John Lee Ka-Chiu, Chancellor. They are on a team with Freedom Y.K. Leung - Head of Shaw College, Lutz - Christian Wolff - Dean of Law, and Chiu Chi - Yue - Dean of Social Science.
