Scott Carlson

Scott Carlson is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in higher education reporting. Since September 1999, Scott has served as a senior reporter for The Chronicle of Higher Education. Prior to this role, Scott worked as a freelance writer for The Baltimore Sun from June 2006 to April 2012 and contributed to Baltimore City Paper, Urbanite, and City Pages during various periods. Scott's journalism career began as the A&E Editor for The Minnesota Daily from June 1995 to June 1997. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Minnesota, where studies were completed from 1991 to 1997.
