Ed Lynch is currently the Deputy Editor at Honolulu Star-Advertiser, where Ed leads a newsroom of 60 journalists for a 130,000-circulation newspaper. Prior to this role, Ed supervised news coverage and revamped digital efforts as the Managing Editor / News at the same company. Ed also has experience as the City Editor and Business Editor at Honolulu Star-Bulletin, as well as roles at Journal of Commerce and Pacific Business News. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Arizona.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser is the largest daily newspaper in the U.S. state of Hawaiʻi. It was formed from the merger of The Honolulu Advertiser and The Honolulu Star-Bulletin into a single entity June 7, 2010. It is the flagship product of Oahu Publications, Inc. which owns a diverse group of publications, including MidWeek, three militarypapers and various specialty publications, as well as luxury and hotel magazines. The Star-Advertiser is headquartered in Honolulu and it's state-of-the-art Roland offset printing press is housed in a 147,000 square-foot production and distribution facilities in Kapolei.
