Brittany Fletcher has a diverse range of work experience in graphic design and creative roles. Brittany started their career as a designer at The Clarion in August 2015, where they worked on layout and content placement for the weekly paper. In January 2017, Brittany was promoted to the role of Creative Director at The Clarion.
Brittany then moved on to work as the Creative Director for TITLE Fashion Magazine from August 2018 to January 2019. In this role, they organized the designers, proofed their layouts, and ensured the work met the brand's standards. Brittany also served as the Web Editor, maintaining the magazine's website and managing the blog.
From May 2018 to May 2019, Brittany worked as the Lead Designer for The News Record, where they were responsible for putting the newspaper together for print using Adobe InDesign. Brittany redesigned the print setup to promote continuity and brand standards.
Brittany also gained experience as an intern with the College of Arts and Sciences Marketing and Communications department from August 2018 to May 2019. Brittany worked on various design-related projects promoting the college's departments and events, including creating lobby monitor slides.
In 2019, Brittany started their own graphic design business, Southern Roots Graphic Design, LLC. As the owner and graphic designer, they provide design services to clients.
Brittany is currently working as the Creative Director for The Cincinnati Herald, a position they started in August 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Design Editor for the publication from August 2019 to August 2020.
Brittany also has experience working as a Freelance Designer, where they have completed various design projects for organizations like Communiversity and Floors by McCoy.
Throughout their career, Brittany has received multiple awards for their work, including recognition from the Ohio News Media Association for news coverage, website design, and overall design excellence.
Brittany Fletcher pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting from Sinclair Community College. From 2015 to 2017, they attended Sinclair Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, specializing in Multimedia Journalism. Building upon this foundation, they then enrolled at the University of Cincinnati from 2017 to 2019. During their time at the University of Cincinnati, Brittany completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, focusing on Magazine Journalism. Additionally, they also obtained a Professional Communication Certificate, further enhancing their skills in the communication field.
