Richard Kim's work experience includes roles such as Editor In Chief at THE CITY NY starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at HuffPost as an Executive Editor from 2019 to 2022, where they also served as the Enterprise Director from 2019 to 2021. Richard has also held positions at The Nation, where they were the Executive Editor from 2015 to 2018 and the Executive Editor, Digital from 2011 to 2015. In addition, they worked as a Senior Editor and Associate Editor at The Nation from 2007 to 2011. Before that, they served as an Instructor and Dissertation Fellow at Skidmore College from 2005 to 2007, and as the Research and Internship Director at The Nation Institute from 1999 to 2005.

Richard Kim attended Yale University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. Richard then enrolled at New York University in 1998 and is currently pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in American/United States Studies/Civilization.
