Marie Doherty

Marie Doherty currently serves as the Director of People & Corporate Services and Director of Human Resources at The City of Belleville since May 2023. Prior to this role, Marie held various senior positions at Queen's University from 2010 to June 2024, including Senior Director of Human Resources and Associate Director of Faculty Relations. Responsibilities at Queen's included leading HR strategies, talent management, employee relations, and collective agreement administration. Earlier experience involved HR leadership roles at Moosehead Breweries, AECL, Wyndham Worldwide, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and J.D. Irving, Limited. Marie holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources from the University of New Brunswick, and an HRM degree from Queen's University.
