Burlington is the largest city in the State of Vermont with a population of nearly 40,000. The city covers 15.5 square miles on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain. There are four colleges in the city including the University of Vermont, (UVM). The University is located overlooking the city on a 451-acre campus which includes undergraduate, graduate, and medical schools. In addition there are two colleges within the city: Champlain College which occupies more than 40 buildings on over 22 acres, as well as Burlington College, which is smaller in size.

The Project Management team at the City of Burlington oversees and coordinates various initiatives to enhance city infrastructure, community services, and public spaces. Team members such as the Parks Project Coordinator and Stormwater Program Manager ensure the efficient execution of projects related to parks and stormwater management, respectively. They work in collaboration with the Project Management Assistant and the Manager of Strategic Initiatives & PMO to align projects with the city's strategic goals and timelines, ensuring a cohesive and organized approach to municipal development.
