Leah Herman

Leah Herman is a seasoned professional in community development and engagement, currently serving as the Open Streets and Placemaking Coordinator for the City of North Vancouver since February 2019. In this role, Leah manages the Open Streets Placemaking Initiative and leads both the CNV Play Program and the CNV Parklet Program. Prior to this, Leah was a Community Development Coordinator at North Shore Neighbourhood House and held the role of Communications Officer at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, where responsibilities included leading communications for various social service sectors and executing community engagement initiatives. Earlier experience includes positions as Communications, Outreach and Education Officer at the Mechanical Contractors Association of B.C. and Wildland Fire and Community Outreach Officer for the BC Ministry of Forests. Leah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Honours) from Simon Fraser University and previously studied International Relations at The University of British Columbia.
