Melissa Johnston

Melissa Johnston is currently serving as a Streetscape Planner I for the City of North Vancouver since May 2023. Prior to this role, Melissa held positions including Development Technician and Land and Food Systems Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2022 to April 2023, and a Planning Intern with BC Healthy Communities Society from May 2022 to August 2022. Melissa also gained experience as an Environmental Intern at the City of Kingston in the summer of 2017 and as a Junior Environmental Scientist at XCG Consulting Limited in 2016. Melissa is pursuing a Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning at The University of British Columbia since September 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences with a Certificate of Business from the University of Guelph, completed in 2018. Educational background includes graduating from Frontenac Secondary School in 2014.
