Currently serving as Assistant City Manager and previously as Deputy City Manager for the City of Pleasanton since February 2023, Alexa has held significant positions including Director of the Economic & Workforce Development Department and Managing Director of Real Estate for the City of Oakland from April 2019 to January 2023. Prior roles include Vice President of Development at BRIDGE Housing Corporation and Director of Multifamily Asset Management for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Alexa's career began in the private sector with positions at Kaplan, Kanisa, and Ask.com. Alexa holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University.
