Maria Hermannsdottir

Maria Hermannsdottir has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Maria began their career as a Fund Manager at IS Funds Ltd. in 2004 and worked there until 2008. Maria then moved on to PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they worked in Assurance from July 2008 to March 2010. Following that, Maria worked briefly at KPMG as an Advisory from March 2010 to September 2010. In 2011, they joined Virðing hf as an Investment Manager and worked there until May 2015. Maria then transitioned to ÍSAM and served as a Financial Controller from March 2017 to June 2018. Maria'smost recent role is at The City of Reykjavik, where they started as a Finance Project Manager in October 2018 and is currently the Finance Director of Service & Innovation.

Maria Hermannsdottir has a B.Sc. degree in Finance from Reykjavik University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. Maria then pursued a degree in Investment Management and completed their Ms in Investment Management from Reykjavik University between 2009 and 2010. Additionally, they obtained a Certified Securities Broker degree from Reykjavik University in 2008.
