Rebekka Gudmundsdottir is an accomplished Urban Designer currently serving as an Urban Design Project Manager for The City of Reykjavik since August 2019. With prior experience as a Project Leader for the Iceland Student Innovation Fund, Rebekka contributed to a summer project focused on sustainable urban recycling and city competitiveness. A former co-owner of Ja Ísland ehf, Rebekka also participated in an urban design competition under DLD Dagny Land Design, earning recognition for the most interesting idea. Extensive experience in the aviation industry as Cabin Crew for Air Iceland Connect from 2001 to 2008 complements Rebekka's academic achievements, including a Master’s degree in Sustainable Urban Design from Lund University and a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Planning and Architecture from the Agricultural University of Iceland. Additional educational qualifications include diplomas in philosophy and travel consultancy, as well as a journeyman's examination in design.
