Miriam Counterman is a Research and Evaluation Specialist at The Cloudburst Group since January 2021, with a diverse background in consulting, research, and evaluation across multiple sectors including human capital, health, and conflict mitigation. Prior experience includes roles as an Independent Consultant, designing data collection tools and analyzing evaluations, and as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado, where evaluations of crime interventions were reviewed. As a Field Researcher with Forcier Consulting, survey instruments were designed and training was provided to field researchers, while earlier roles included managing financial monitoring at DAI and assessing livelihoods at the REACH Initiative. Miriam holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master’s in Public Administration and International Studies from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor’s degree in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Michigan.
