Jaime Stansbury

VP at The Cohen Group

Ms. Jaime Stansbury is an Associate Vice President with The Cohen Group and leads Middle East Practice, bringing over fifteen years of experience advising global businesses and international organizations in the region.

For twelve years, Ms. Stansbury worked and lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mostly recently, she was the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia’s first executive director after serving on its Board of Directors and founding its Women in Business Committee in 2019. Under her leadership, the chamber transformed from an informal business network into a professional, national organization that supports over 200 member companies across its three chapters.

From 2009–2013, Ms. Stansbury was a consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Federal Practice based in Washington, DC and advised on client projects for the US Department of State. For two of those years, she served as a political advisor on a bilateral program to protect critical energy infrastructure based in US Embassy Riyadh. In that role, she helped develop interagency partnerships under a technical cooperation agreement and staffed senior level delegations from the US Departments of Energy, Defense, and Homeland Security. She also managed a client project for the Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs to measure the performance of counternarcotic programs in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Following the societal changes under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program that were first announced in 2016, Ms. Stansbury began advising nonprofit institutions in developing strategic partnerships in Saudi Arabia. Her extensive knowledge of the education sector resulted in the awarding of a groundbreaking cultural scholarship program to an international nonprofit, creating the possibility for Saudi students to study art, design, and music at global universities for the first time. Her advocacy on women’s economic empowerment helped launch a local professional women’s business group and brought together partners including the Atlantic Council, US Embassy Riyadh, and private sector companies to implement programs that advance women’s executive leadership and entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia.

Ms. Stansbury holds a Master of Arts in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is an MBA student at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
