Brett Sommer

Brett Sommer is an experienced educator and subject matter expert with a strong background in history and secondary education. Currently serving as an AP Reader and Table Leader at The College Board since June 2013, Brett has contributed significantly as a Table Leader for short answer questions and document-based questions, ensuring the proper application of assessment rubrics. With a teaching career that spans over two decades, including positions at North Tonawanda School District and Cardinal O'Hara High School, Brett specializes in Advanced Placement and honors courses in European and World History. Additionally, Brett has worked as a freelance subject matter expert, reviewing history publications and collaborating on educational resources. Brett holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from D'Youville University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Arizona State University.
