Imani Hinson

Imani Hinson is an experienced educator currently serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Howard County Public Schools since August 2022 and as a Tutor with Your Teacher Tutors since May 2023. Additionally, Imani contributes to The College Board as an Item Writer, starting in April 2023. Prior experience includes curriculum planning and teaching social studies at Uncommon Schools from August 2020 to June 2023, as well as serving as support staff and receptionist at The Family Center for Autism from March 2018 to July 2021. Imani also participated as a Summer Teaching Fellow at Uncommon Schools in 2019. Imani holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Teacher Education and History from Hofstra University, a Master's degree in History from Brooklyn College, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree at Virginia Commonwealth University, expected to be completed in June 2026.
