Jim Lauckhardt

Jim Lauckhardt has a diverse work experience in the field of education and data analysis. Jim has worked as a Senior Director of Strategy and Analysis at The College Board, where they developed and executed strategies for data-driven decision making. Jim also served as a Lecturer at Columbia University School of Professional Studies, teaching Data Analytics and Metrics in the Nonprofit Sector.

Additionally, Jim has founded their own consultancy, JL Educational Data and Strategy Consulting, where they worked as a Principal Consultant. Jim collaborated with school districts to develop strategic plans and data infrastructure, and advised on improving the utilization of data for informed action.

Jim has also worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as an Educational Data Strategy Consultant, supporting school districts in developing high-quality data infrastructures.

Prior to that, they held various roles at iMentor, including Managing Director of Organizational Learning and Impact and Managing Director of Research and Evaluation. At iMentor, they facilitated discussions on data-driven decision making and led the Research and Evaluation team to communicate the organization's impact.

Jim has also worked as an Educational Research and Evaluation Strategy Consultant at Catapult Learning and as an Evaluation Design and Analysis Consultant at College Access: Research and Action (CARA).

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Research Associate at The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY), where they conducted educational research and evaluation studies focused on improving student outcomes in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Jim Lauckhardt holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University. Jim also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Penn State University. In addition to their education, they have completed training in Change Builders and Facilitative Leadership.
