Rebecca Stone-Danahy has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles.
Rebecca currently serves as the Director of AP Art and Design at The College Board, where they lead committees and collaborates with educators and subject-matter experts to improve the curriculum and resources for the AP Art and Design program. Rebecca also has experience working in the AP Studio Art Operational Pilot Program, where they assessed student portfolios and developed training materials for consultants.
In 2013, Stone-Danahy co-founded Pylstone, LLC, a company that focuses on instructional products and services in art education. Rebecca worked as the Chief Learning Officer, managing projects, delivering webinars, and evaluating data.
Stone-Danahy's artistic background is evident in their role as an artist at Stone-Danahy Studios, where they have showcased their work at various exhibitions and garnered grants.
Rebecca has also held positions at organizations such as the National Art Education Association (NAEA), where they served as an editor and contributed to art educator leadership programs, West Ashley High School as a Visual Arts Educator and Administrative Intern, and Charleston County School District as an Intern and Assistant Principal Intern.

Rebecca Stone-Danahy's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Art Teacher Education from Miami University, obtained in 1992. Rebecca then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Art Teacher Education from the same university in 1993. In 2018, Rebecca obtained an Ed.S in Educational Leadership and Administration, School Superintendency from The Citadel. Rebecca continued their education at The Citadel and earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2018. Currently, Rebecca is pursuing a Doctor of Education - EdD in Education System Improvement Science at Clemson University, with an expected completion date in 2024.
In addition to their degrees, Rebecca has obtained several certifications, including Group 1 Investigators Conducting Social and Behavioral Science Research (SBR) at Clemson University from the CITI Program in February 2023. Rebecca also holds an Administrative Certification for Secondary Principal from the South Carolina Department of Education, obtained in July 2019, as well as a Teaching Certification for Professional Educator License from the same institution and month. Another certification they obtained is the Group 1 Investigators Conducting Social and Behavioral Science Research (SBR) at Clemson University from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY, in May 2021.
