Dr. Rich Hawkins has an extensive work experience in the field of education. Dr. Rich served as the Superintendent of Schools at William Floyd School District, overseeing a large instructional program. Dr. Hawkins also held various roles at different universities, including Adjunct Professor and Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership. Dr. Rich founded Hawkins & Associates, a consulting firm focused on organizational learning. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Contract Services at The College of Saint Rose and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at St. John's University.
Dr. Rich Hawkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Hofstra University in 1975. Dr. Rich then went on to complete a Master of Science in Education at LIU Post from 1976 to 1979. Following this, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Educational Administration from LIU Post between 1983 and 1986. Later, Dr. Hawkins pursued an Ed.D in Education Leadership and Technology at Dowling College from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, they hold certifications in School Administrator and Supervisor as well as School District Administrator from the NYS Education Department, obtained in 1975.
