John Hunter

John Hunter is a seasoned stage manager and lighting designer with extensive experience in academic and professional theater. Currently serving as the Stage Manager at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University since November 2019, John also holds faculty lecturer positions at Rutgers University and The Juilliard School. Notably, John's career spans roles at prestigious organizations such as Opera Carolina, New York City Opera, and The Princeton Festival, where stage management responsibilities encompassed a variety of acclaimed productions. Additionally, John has contributed to the academic community at The College of Saint Rose as a Lighting Designer and Program Director, enhancing curriculum development and managing programs to support student engagement. John holds multiple degrees in Fine Arts and English from Rutgers University and The College of Saint Rose.
