Margaret T. McLane, Ph.D., is the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. In this position, she serves as the chief academic officer and is second to the President in overall authority. Responsibilities include leadership to all academic units to ensure that Academic Affairs fulfills the mission of the College. The units that report to the Provost include the School of Arts and Humanities, Thelma P. Lally School of Education, Huether School of Business, School of Mathematics and Sciences, Neil Hellman Library, Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Online Learning Services, Academic Success Center, Career Services, Office of Academic Advising and the Office for Students with Disabilities. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs chairs several standing committees including the Undergraduate Academic Committee, Graduate Academic Committee, and Strategic Planning and Priorities Committee. In addition, this position meets regularly with other committees and groups including the Representative Committee of the Faculty, Faculty Salary Committee, Liberal Education Coordinating Committee, Professional Development Committee, Academic Grievance Board, Rank and Tenure Committee, Department Chairs and Program Coordinators, Academic and Student Affairs Council, and Deans Council. The Provost also works closely with the Academic Affairs Committee and the Enrollment Management Committee of the Board of Trustees.
