Frank Brochin

Chief Investment Officer, Family Office Practice at The Colony Group

Frank leads all investments in private equity, venture capital and international managers within the Institutional Advisory Practice. He is also responsible for defining the international investment strategy for institutional clients.

Frank served as a Senior Managing Director with New Providence Asset Management prior to the firm’s merger with The Colony Group in 2021. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer at Berens Capital Management, an asset management firm with a global mandate, and the Chief Investment Officer at StoneWater Capital, an investment firm focused on Emerging Markets. Frank started his investment career at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm, where he was a Partner and lead investments in technology, communications and IT services. Before becoming an investment professional, he was a research engineer with NTT in Tokyo.

Frank served on the Board of Directors of several companies in the United States, Europe and Israel, and was the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the French-American School of New York. He is a Director of Envision Asset Management, an investment firm focused on Indian equities. He has been a guest lecturer at New York University and Waseda University in Tokyo.

Frank earned a PhD from Princeton University and a Master in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

Frank grew up in Africa. He is curious about the world and has traveled to 73 countries (and counting…). When not in the office or on the road, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
