Karla Sullivan

Karla serves as The Colony Group’s Deputy General Counsel. She supports the company’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer on operational, human-resource, technology, securities law, and financial management matters.

Prior to joining The Colony Group, Karla was legal and compliance counsel at Abrams Capital Management, L.P., and previously worked in various legal and compliance capacities for Geode Capital Management, LLC.

Karla earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business Law and Financial Services and graduated from Suffolk University Law School, with distinction, and her Bachelor of Sciences in Neuroscience from Union College. She is a member of 100 Women in Finance and enjoys attending industry events.

Karla loves traveling and exploring new cities and countries with her family. In the wintertime, you will find Karla, her husband, and two young children skiing, and in the summertime, you’ll find them exploring the beaches in Maine.
