Aron Wahkinney

Aron Wahkinney is a seasoned professional specializing in grant management and public health initiatives, currently serving as a Senior Grants Manager at The Colorado Health Foundation since January 2023. Previously, Aron held the position of Contracts & Grants Program Manager at Denver Indian Health & Family Services and worked at Southern Plains Tribal Health Board as a SPF-PFS Project Manager, where responsibilities included overseeing federal grant requirements, strategic planning, and stakeholder collaboration. Aron's extensive experience also includes roles as SPF-Rx Project Manager and Communications Specialist, focusing on substance abuse prevention and community engagement. Early career experiences include producing substance abuse prevention content for Native American youth, and graphic design roles at MARCO Promotional Products and Indiana Regional Medical Center.
