Christine Omollo has had a varied work experience in human resources and administration roles. CHRISTINE started their career as a Senior Human Resource and Administration Officer at the Horticultural Crops Development Authority from March 2010 to July 2014. CHRISTINE then served as the Director of Human Resources at the County Government of Siaya from August 2014 to September 2015, where they provided strategic leadership in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. Christine also worked as a Human Resource Manager at the Commission on Administrative Justice in August 2015. Currently, they are the Head of Human Resource Management and Administration at the Commission on Administrative Justice Office of the Ombudsman for the Government of Kenya.
Christine Omollo completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration at Cambridge Business School (CBS) from 2003 to 2006. CHRISTINE then pursued a Diploma in HR from Kenya Institute of Management between 2008 and 2010. Later, they obtained an MBA in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology from 2010 to 2012. In recent years, Christine enrolled in the Institute of Human Resource Management, where they earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services in 2020. The Commission on Administrative Justice, more commonly known as (Office of the Ombudsman), is a constitutional commission established under Article 59(4) of the Constitution, and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011. The mandate of Office of the Ombudsman is two-fold, and extends to both national and county governments. Firstly, the Commission has the mandate of tackling maladministration (improper administration) in the public sector. In this regard, the Commission is empowered to, among other things, investigate complaints of delay, abuse of power, unfair treatment, manifest injustice or discourtesy. Secondly, the Commission has the mandate of overseeing and enforcing the implementation of the Access to Information Act, 2016
