Sophie McGinley

Sophie McGinley is an experienced labor policy analyst currently employed at The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis since May 2024. Previously, Sophie served as a research analyst at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia from February 2023 to May 2024, where responsibilities included producing surveys and analyzing data. Additional roles include a graduate teaching assistant position at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and a planner position with the City of Springfield, Oregon, where Sophie implemented progressive climate-forward legislation.
