Eddie Richardson

Eddie Richardson has significant experience in the field of licensing and social services, currently serving as the Associate Director Senior for Field Operations with the Commonwealth of Virginia since May 2012. In this role, Eddie oversees adult and child welfare licensing program operations across multiple regional offices and develops strategic plans for field operations. Previously, Eddie held the position of Regional Licensing Administrator from April 2008 to April 2012, managing daily operations of a licensing field office and supervising a team of seven staff to ensure compliance with Virginia's regulations. Eddie's career began as a Licensing Inspector with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services from January 2000 to April 2008, where responsibilities included enforcing licensing laws and conducting investigations of childcare facilities. Prior experience includes serving as Regional Director at The Institute for Family Centered Services (1992-1999), overseeing operations and developing partnerships in the Western Kentucky area. Eddie holds a B.A. in Sociology from Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University.
