Luz Garcia currently serves as the Assistant Controller / Financial Planning and Analysis at The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group, leading annual audit processes and preparing financial reports. With extensive experience at Munich Re Canada since May 2008, Luz held various accounting roles, including Senior Corporate Accountant, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance, preparing Board-level financial reports, and delivering insights for business decision-making. Previous positions include Financial Analyst at Wrigley and Kraft Foods Group, where Luz focused on financial statement analysis and optimization of accounting processes. Luz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UDLA, Mexico, and has pursued further education in insurance accounting and related fields.
