Stephanie Garrett-Stearns has a diverse and extensive work experience. Stephanie began their career at US Steel as a Human Resources Associate from 1997 to 1999. Stephanie then worked at Accenture as a Senior Consultant in 2000. Stephanie joined Siemens in 2003, where they held various roles, including Manager of Corporate Communications and Chief Corporate Spokesperson. Stephanie later became the Head of Public Relations and Chief Corporate Spokesperson before leaving in 2012. In 2009, Stephanie briefly worked as the Campaign Manager for the Committee to Elect Tito Jackson. Stephanie then joined The Community Builders, Inc. in 2011 as the Director of Communications and later became the Vice President of Communications & Fund Development in 2015. Most recently, Stephanie held positions in the City of Boston, serving as the Senior Advisor to the Mayor in early 2021 and then as the Chief Communications Officer until late 2021.

Stephanie Garrett-Stearns has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business, which they completed from 1992 to 1997. Stephanie then pursued an M.B.A. in Strategy from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School from 1999 to 2001. Later, in 2007 and 2008, Stephanie completed an Executive Education program in Business Management Institute at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management.
