Dagmawit Kemal

Dagmawit Kemal is a seasoned community builder and communications professional, currently serving in the Community Cohort #4 program at The Community Collective since April 2024. At Karat, Dagmawit manages a community of over 7,500 Black software engineers, focusing on candidate support through workshops and programming. Previous experiences include roles as a Communications Specialist at Marketing Reel and a Marketing Coordinator at Washington STEM. Dagmawit has a background in journalism with contributions as a Freelance Journalist for various digital newspapers and a News Reporter for The Daily. Educational achievements include Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Diversity from the University of Washington and attendance at King's College London.
