Paul Michaelson

Paul Michaelson, MBA, SHRM-SCP has over 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. Paul currently holds the position of Human Resources Director at The Container Store. Prior to this, they worked at JCPenney for 15 years, starting as a Human Resources Generalist and progressing through various roles including HR Sr. Generalist, HR Manager, Senior HR Manager, and finally as a Human Resources Director. During their time at JCPenney, they aligned policies and procedures with internal customer needs.

Before joining JCPenney, Paul worked at Gap Inc. as an HR Generalist for 6 years. In this role, they provided leadership and support in multiple distribution centers, addressing challenges such as opening new facilities and integrating associates into the company culture. Paul also focused on continuous process improvement and collaborated with leadership to improve leadership skills.

Paul Michaelson, MBA, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration and Management, General from California State University, Fresno in 2000. Paul then pursued an MBA in Business Administration from the same institution, graduating in 2006.
