Chief Executive Officer at The Contentment Foundation

Navin Amarasuriya has extensive work experience in various leadership and management roles. Navin is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at The Contentment Foundation, where they oversee the organization's operations. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief International Officer at the same company, where they were responsible for managing operations in multiple countries including Singapore, USA, Brazil, Bhutan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. Navin also served as the Director of Singapore at The Contentment Foundation.

Navin Amarasuriya is a Board of Directors Member at the Center for Contemplative Research since November 2021.

Before joining The Contentment Foundation, Navin Amarasuriya worked as a Non-Executive Director for the EtonHouse Community Fund at EtonHouse International Education Group. This fund is a non-profit organization aimed at providing education opportunities for underprivileged children.

Prior to their role at EtonHouse, Navin Amarasuriya served as a Non-Executive Director at B.P. de Silva Holdings from June 2013 to October 2021.

Earlier in their career, Navin Amarasuriya worked at Risis in various roles. Navin served as an Inventory Optimisation Controller and Manager Retail & Manufacturing. Navin also worked in the Product Design Team and held the role of Chemical Operator (Formulation), where they were responsible for processing chemicals and precious metals into formulations and documenting critical intellectual property. Additionally, they worked as an Export Business Development Lead (Retail), Copywriter (Product Development), and Factory Development Manager (Manufacturing) at Risis. Navin'stenure at Risis spanned from 2011 to 2019.

Navin Amarasuriya completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The University of Manchester from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Digital Media Design from Nanyang Polytechnic, where they studied from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Navin Amarasuriya has also obtained several certifications. In May 2021, they received a Certificate in High Performing Charities from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). In September 2019, they completed the Strozzi Embodied Leadership Level 1 program at the Strozzi Institute. In May 2016, they obtained a certification in Leadership, Values, and the Good Society from The Aspen Institute, as well as a certification in High Performance Leadership from IMD business school. In January 2016, they completed a certification in Lean Manufacturing & Retail from SMI AUSTRALIA. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Family Business Governance from INSEAD in September 2011.
