Emily H. Towery, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience in various human resources roles. Emily H. started their career as a Human Resources Intern at North Carolina State University in 2007. Following their internship, Emily worked as an HR Generalist at RA Jeffreys Distributing Company of Raleigh from 2008 to 2013. Emily H. then became an HR Manager at DARRAN Furniture Industries from 2013 to 2014. Currently, Emily holds two positions at The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC, starting as Vice President of Human Resources in April 2014 and later being promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer in December 2022.

Emily H. Towery, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in HR from Liberty University, which they obtained in 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an HR concentration at Meredith College from 2004 to 2008. Emily has also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the SHRM-CP from SHRM in 2015 and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2010. Additionally, they are a member of the SHRM Executive Network, which they joined in 2022.
